Ailene Oakley (Tuggle) Terry

Ailene “Granny” Oakley Terry, 87, of Paragould, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017.  She was born April 19, 1930, in Nimmons, Arkansas, to Norvy and Tisha Tuggle.  Ailene was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ for 40 years.  She loved everything about farm life especially gardening, fishing, and canning.  Ailene was an excellent cook and a Jill of all trades who was always willing to open her heart and home to those who needed it.

Ailene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George W. Terry; sisters, Velma Tipton, Sylvia Turner, Laverne Rokus; and brothers, Loyal Tuggle, Kenneth Tuggle, and Elder Taylor Tuggle.

Survivors include her sons and daughter in law, George Terry, Dewayne and Carla Terry; daughters and sons in law, Barbara McBride, Brenda and William Fritsche, and Kay and Richard Dicken; brother, James David Tuggle; grandchildren, James Glasco, Jerry Glasco, Jill Fritsche, Amy Fritsche, Melissa Sim, Kimberly Fritsche, Rebecca Wiewel, Jennifer Truhler, Casey Terry, Jacob Terry, Heather Petersen, Jason Dicken, Katie Dicken, Elizabeth Terry, and Emily Terry; great grandchildren, Alisha McKeever, Jamie Sue Glasco, Brianna Glasco, Tyler Remagen, Jeri Renee’ Glasco, Hayden Brooks, Bailey Rogers, Noah Rogers, Alex Fishback, Katherine Fishback, Shelby Jo Truhler, Megan Petersen, Chandler Petersen, Carter Petersen, Christian Petersen, Mia Petersen, Mara Petersen, Carlee Harrelson, and Carson Harrelson.

The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 29, at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be Tuesday, May 30, at 11:00 a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Tommy Pitcher officiating.  Burial will follow at New Liberty Cemetery in Marmaduke.
