Verneda Rebecca (Rippy) Lentz Phillips

Verneda “Lentz” Phillips, 87, of Paragould passed from this life Sunday, April 17, 2016.  She was born, January 14, 1929, in Mounds, AR to Loatie and Nora Rippy.  Verneda was a member of Union Central Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband of 55 years, Martin Lentz; and brother, George Doyle Rippy.

Survivors include Verneda’s husband of 10 years, Herbert Phillips; son and daughter in law, Jim and Sandra Lentz; daughter and son in law, Kaylene and Randy Brinkley; step son and step daughter in law, Jeff and Donna Phillips; brother, James Rippy; grandchildren, Michael Lentz, Kim Smith, Brian Brinkley, Kirk Brinkley, and Jade Brinkley; great grandchildren, Megan White, Jacob, Madelyn, and Kyle Smith, Aaliyah and Halle Brinkley, Natalie and Parker Lentz, and Collins McDaniel.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 20, 2016, from 9:00a.m. to 10:30a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will begin at 10:30a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Randy Brinkley officiating.  Burial will follow at Harvey’s Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Lentz, Justin Newsom, Parker Lentz, Jeff Phillips, Kirk Brinkley, and Chris Dickinson.

The family would like to express their appreciation to all the caregivers for their wonderful care and kindness Verneda received during her time at Belle Meade Rehabilitation and Guest Care Facility.
