Albert Willie Rudi, 87, of Paragould, passed away Tuesday, April 17. He was born on December 16, 1930, to Carl and Lydia Rudi. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, where he served as Superintendent for several years. Albert loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at his cabin on Black River. He also enjoyed canoeing in Hardy at the Beach Club. Albert worked for Studebaker Company as a mechanic before joining the Chrysler dealership for 23 years. Later, he and his son, Mike, opened Rudi’s auto repair, which later became Rudi’s Towing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debbie Ness; sister, Irna Rudi; brother, Henry Rudi; and great granddaughter, Arianna Henderson.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; son, Mike Rudi (Judy Cozart); brothers and sister in law, Karl and Sandy Rudi and Robert Rudi; grandchildren, Dustin (Hannah) Rudi, Joe (Brandi) Ness, James (Rachel) Ness and Jeanine (Steve) Henderson; and great grandchildren, Claire Ness, Kylen Henderson, Korbynn Henderson, Willie Rudi, Raylynn Ness and Kensley Henderson.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 21, 11 A.M. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 P.M. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Billy Vanderbilt and Kenny Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Dustin Rudi, Joe Ness, James Ness, Rickey Wooldridge, Eric Rudi and Tom Graber.
