Barbara J. Williford

Barbara J. Williford, 71, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 27, 2019. She was born June 28, 1948, in Jonesboro, AR. Barbara was a RN and retired from East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging. She was a former Licensed Psychiatric Technician Nurse. She was a long time children’s department teacher at West View Baptist Church. Barbara was a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Crowley’s Ridge Rural Coalition to meet unmet health care needs in Greene County. She was a member of West View Baptist Church and currently attending Transformed Church of God. She was like a Grannie to the whole wide world.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, E. R. and Betty Smith; husbands, Donald Wayne Rader and James Washington Williford; daughter, Jessica Dawn Williford; sisters, Ruby Henfling, Joyce Pickett.

Survivors include her daughters and sons in law, Jennifer and Charles McDaniel, Brandy and Jeffrey Mitchell all of Paragould; grandchildren, Caleb, Emily (Junior), Sean, Aaron, Meghan (Anthony), Laura, Charlie; and great-grandchildren, Karsie, Kylan, Natalie, Peyton, Ethan, Aubrey, Nolan, Jax, and Eli; sister in law, Martha (Danny) Lewis; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Kay Wheeler.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 28, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 29, at 1:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Tony Horton and Marc Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery with Rob McIllwain officiating.
