Betty Lewis, 85, of Paragould, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019. She was born March 20, 1934, to John and Bertha Lott. She was the owner of Lewis Upholstery for over 20 years. Betty loved to sew and loved her church. She attended New Life Temple MINISTRIES. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Above all, her family was her greatest joy.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Lewis; stepson, Eddie Kendrick; brothers, Hughie Lott, Fred Eason; sisters, Ella Stokes, Louise Gooch, Sylvia Moyer, Lona Bell Geaslin, Lucille Johnson, Mildred Owens, Hester Gregory; and first husband, Boyce Carr.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Everett Lewis; daughters and sons in law, Charlotte and Calvin Foster of Paragould, Marshia and Billy Bobo of Paragould; daughter in law, Alice Lewis of Paragould; brother, Bill Lott of Paragould; sisters, Wanda Roy of Paragould, Dorothy Kincaid of Manila, Clara Peyton of Manila, Pauline Walls of Paragould, Laverne Johnson of Quitman, AR; grandchildren, Cassie (David) Bunch, Carissa (Michael) Whitby, Crystal (Mark) Burrow, Kendra (Jeremy) Street, Christopher (Tiffany) Foster; great-grandchildren, Molly and Addie Bunch, Blake and Jake Whitby, Karley and Jaxon Burrow, Landon and Jude Street, Allie and Haley Foster; and a host of nieces and nephews that loved her.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 28, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Jerry Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Jarrod Lyerly, Jeremy Street, David Bunch, Mark Burrow, Bill Foster, and Michael Whitby will serve as pallbearers. Jimmy and Charley Cooper, Gary Rawls, Christopher Foster, Calvin Foster, and Billy Bobo will serve as honorary pallbearers.
