Billy Mack Mangrum

Billy Mack Mangrum, 82, of Paragould, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018, at the Phil and Flo Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was born November 30, 1936. Bill worked 10 years for the Highway Department and 30 years at Emerson Electric. He was a 32nd Mason, and a Deacon at Unity Baptist Church in Paragould.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Opal Mangrum of Walcott; wife, Frances Mangrum; brother, Glen Mangrum of Lafe; and stepson, Roy Swain of Conway.

Survivors include his wife, Yevonne Mangrum of the home; daughter, Melinda Mangrum of Newport; stepdaughter and son in law, Melissa and David Griffin of Paragould; stepdaughter in law, Michelle Swain of Conway; grandchildren, Devon Rogers and husband, Casey, Carly Jackson, Destinee and Brandon Griffin, Audrey and Spencer Swain; great grandsons, Jackson and Beckett Rogers; brother and sisters, Jimmy Mangrum and wife, Genieve, of Paragould, Rita Adams and husband, Larry, Larry Mangrum and wife, June, Pat Hammon and husband, Jimmy, all of Walcott; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 28, from 12 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Reverend Chad Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery.

Casey Rogers, Jeremy Newberry, David Griffin, Danny Walker, Jerry Cole, and Tom Wofford will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Eggie Tedder and Ben Denton.
