Carolyn (Cole) Martin, 67, of Paragould, went to be with the Lord Monday, January 13, 2020. She was born January 16, 1952, in Gainesville, Arkansas to Arthur and Pauline Cole. Carolyn was a loving, nurturing wife and mother. She attended 7th and Mueller Church of Christ. She worked for the Sr. Bee’s for 30 years. Carolyn was a wonderful cook and she enjoyed canning vegetables. She always had a kind word and was willing to help anyone in need. Carolyn was a joy to be with and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Pauline Cole, and sister, Ann Mobley.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Larry Martin; daughters, Stephanie Martin and Lee Ann Wince; brothers and sisters in law, James ‘Jingo’ and Mary Lou Cole and Russell and Pat Cole; sisters and brothers in law, Pauletta and Don Duvall and Teresa and Bob Wishart; brother in law, Glen Mobley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 17, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday, January 18, at 10:00 a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Larry McFadden officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Jimmy Phelps, Kalan Phelps, Britt Cole, Matt Mobley, David Mobley, Steve Martin, Dave Gugle, and Nathan Gugle will serve as pallbearers. Carolyn’s nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
