David L. Spurlock

David L. Spurlock, 48, of Paragould, passed away March 19, 2017.  He was born December 5, 1968, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to James and Dianna Spurlock.  David was a small engine mechanic by trade, but he loved to be outside in nature.  This was reflected in his enjoyment of hunting and fishing.  While outdoors he also scoured the land for Indian Artifacts. 

David was preceded in death by his father, James Spurlock.

Survivors include his mother, Dianna Spurlock; wife, Robin Frost; son and daughter in law, Dustin and Amber Shatley; daughters, Brieanna Laird and her husband, Corey, and Destynee Spurlock; brothers, Donnie and Keith Spurlock; sister, Shawna Long; and grandchildren, Ashten Warren, Emma and Carli Shatley.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Carter Grindstaff officiating.  Burial will follow at Hosea Cemetery in Knobel.

Chuck Winn, Jimmy Rouse, Allen Newman, Kenny Rouse, Anthony Lamar, and Bobby Witcher will serve as pallbearers.
