Dollie Mae Pitcher, 88, of Paragould, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019. She was born September 15, 1930, to Charlie and Ora Varner. Dollie was a member of the Newton Street Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and crocheting. Dollie loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Pitcher, Sr.; sons, Robert Lee Pitcher, Jr., Wayne Pitcher; sons in law, Donnie Smith, Shay Stacy; brothers, Lavern Varner, Cecil Varner; brothers in law, Steve Barnes, Dan White; sister, Lavon White; and granddaughter, Gracie Robbins.
Survivors include her sons and daughter in law, Wendell and Pam Pitcher, Michael Pitcher; daughters, Dian Smith, Linda Stacy; brothers, Leyburn Varner, Hulen Varner, Oddie Varner; sister, Betty Barnes; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 6, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Friday, June 7, at 10:00 a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Jones Ridge Cemetery.
Neal Smith, Justin Smith, Kenny Pitcher, Scott Pitcher, Matthew Pitcher, and Dewayne Pitcher will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Jeff Barnes and Tim Barnes.
Lasting memorials may be made to any local youth bible school of your choice or the Gideons International.
