Donald L. Holtsclaw, 92, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at the Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. He was born April 22, 1927. Don worked for Boeing in Wichita, KS. After moving to Arkansas in 1972, he retired from Monroe Automotive in Paragould. He was an avid pheasant hunter in Kansas and deer hunter in Arkansas. He enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends, cooking on his smoker, and rarely missed a Cardinals baseball game on TV.
Donald was preceded in death by his father and step mother, Art and Pauline Holtsclaw; mother, Esther Rose; wife of 52 years, Betty McMillon Holtsclaw; and his brother, Kenneth Holtsclaw.
Survivors include his daughters, Paula (Marty) Browning of Paragould, Kathy (James) Warren of Paragould; granddaughters, Amber (Andy) West of Paragould, Lindsay Lewis of Paragould; and great-grandson, Aden West of Paragould.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 13, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday, September 14, at 3:30 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Rusty McMillon officiating. Burial will follow at Finch Cemetery.
Greg McMillon, Brett McMillon, Coy Lancaster, Chad McMillon, Jake McMillon, and Zach McMillon will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Jackie McMillon, Randy Scott, Tony McMillon, and Jimmy McMillon.
