Harlan ”Frog” Barron, 85, of Marmaduke, passed away Wednesday, October 09, 2019, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born September 30, 1934, in Brookland, Arkansas, to Joseph and Martha Barron. Frog was a bull rider, bareback rider, drag racer and stock car driver. His love for rodeo resulted in him producing the Circle B Rodeo. He retired from Eli Walker and then ran the scales at the Paragould Stockyard.
Frog was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Barron; son, Michael Allen Barron; son in law, Gary Brown; and sisters, Kansas, Lola, Juanita, Lucille, Ethel, Norma, and Joy.
Survivors include his daughters, Tina “Barron” Newsome and her husband, Carson, of Sherwood, Arkansas, Judy “Barron” Wyles and her husband, Bill, of Plumerville, Arkansas, Sheila Brown, Kathy Smoker and her husband, Michael, all of Paragould; grandchildren, Michael Chastain and his wife, Charletta, and David Newsome and his wife, Adara, Mary Flynn and her husband, Larry, and Melissa Brown; and great grandchildren, Clifton and Taylor Chastain and Austin, Bailey, and Tanner Flynn.
A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 19, at Woods Chapel Cemetery. Phillips Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
