Jimmy Dewayne Barr, Sr.

Jimmy Dewayne Barr, Sr., 78, of Paragould, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019. He was born April 23, 1941, to Charles and Erma Barr. Jimmy was born and raised in the Mounds community. He was a farmer his whole life and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles Max Barr.

Survivors include Brenda Barr of the home; sons and daughter in law, Jimmy D. and Angie Barr of Paragould, William Black of Paragould; daughters and sons in law, Angela Boone of Paragould, Sherry and David Graves of Gurdon, AR, Barbara and Jeff Kemper of Boydville, AR, Nellie and Matt Hosafros of Cape Girardeau, MO; brothers, Carroll Barr, Harold Dean Barr both of Paragould; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; former wife, Rita Gibson Barr; and special cousin, Jerry Estopy.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 2, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Reddick Cemetery.

William Black, Jared Mitchell, Isaac Barr, Matt Hosafros, Hunter Kemper, Kyle Graves, and Wes Mitchell will serve as pallbearers.
