Jim Pace, 69, of Marmaduke, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born February 16, 1949, in Lake City, Arkansas, to James “Satch” Pace and Gailon Farris Pace. Jim enjoyed cooking, gaming, sitting on his porch, but most of all sitting in his favorite recliner.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Linda Sims.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Verna Pace of the home; two sons, Jimmy Pace and his wife, Petina, and Marshall Pace and his fiancée, Melody Bryson, all of Paragould; three daughters, Regena Bishop and her fiancée, Gary Holland, of Jonesboro, Myra Hampton and her husband, Rodney, of Marmaduke, Shana Horton and her husband, Jeremy, of Marmaduke; one sister, Dorothy Flynn of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Chance Pace, Rashawn Stringer, Dalton Cole, Drew Bishop, Lance Bishop, Whitney Bishop, Allison Hyde, Reesa Hampton, Bryson Horton, Bradley Horton, Lane Pace, and Madalyn Bryson; great grandchildren, Kayden, Kennedy, Kane, Emmy, and Jaxon.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 10, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Rodney Hampton officiating.
