Katherine Lee Sanders

Katherine Lee Sanders, 81, of Halliday, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018, peacefully at home. She was born in Overland, MO, on August 22, 1936, to George and Katherine Stillman. Katherine loved spending time with her husband, Joe. She enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting. Katherine always enjoyed cooking for all of her family and family camping trips were special events. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Alice Mottin, Elizabeth Borders, Dorothy Purcell; brother, George Stillman; and two great-grandsons, Bryant Watson and Gabriel Henn.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Joseph Sanders; five sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel (Debra) Sanders, John (Sheila) Sanders, Mark (Ana) Sanders, Tom Sanders of Greene County, AR, and Matthew (Rhonda) Sanders of Lepanto, AR; two daughters and son-in-law, Karen Holloway and Diane (Mark) Graftenreed of  Greene County, AR; brothers, Henry Stillman of Florissant, MO, John Stillman of St. Peters, Mo; sisters, Mary Singleton and Cora Miller, both of Osceola, MO; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several step grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 4, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 5, at 10 a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Steve Singleton officiating. Burial will follow at Clark’s Chapel Cemetery.
