Levonia Victoria “Farmer” Damon, 87, of Marmaduke, went to be with the Lord July 28, 2019. Mrs. Damon was born August 23, 1931, in Marmaduke, to the late Clyde Marcus Farmer and Ola Marie “Hampton” Farmer. Mrs. Damon was a member of First Baptist Church in Marmaduke. She enjoyed working, cooking, fishing, playing guitar, singing, going to church, being outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a very loving, caring mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Damon was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnnie Damon, Sr.; one daughter, Marie Ellen “Damon” White; four brothers, Arlen Farmer, Billy Farmer, Robert Farmer, and Bobby Farmer; and five sisters, Effatrey Farmer, Donna Faye Farmer, Clistie “Farmer” Quinn, Silvia Mae “Farmer” Echols, and Betty “Farmer” Walls.
Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Johnnie Damon, Jr. and Tasha of Marmaduke; two daughters and sons in law, Sue Ann Burgess and Terry in Lafe, and Lou Ann Sharp and Tom Hancock of Paragould; nineteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Louise Farmer of Strawberry, and Nora Lee Farmer of Marmaduke; one brother, Wade Farmer of Star, Arkansas ; and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 31, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the First Baptist Church in Marmaduke. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Kim Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Hartsoe Cemetery.
