Melana Faye McMillon, 47, passed away late Friday night, August 10, 2018, at her home in Paragould. She was the first born of Jim and Mona McMillon on November 2, 1970. Melana‘s two children, C.J. and Hannah, were her greatest blessing in life. She was very passionate about supporting her children’s interest and there to give a helping hand whenever the need arose. C.J. and Hannah were active in the Paragould Ram Pride Band, so Melana volunteered to help in any way she could. Melana always offered a smile, no matter what life had thrown at her. She was a true “Wonder Woman” and will be missed by many.
Survivors include her parents, Jim and Mona McMillon; children, C.J. and Hannah Slatton; grandchild, Presley Forbs; sister and brother in law, Shawna and Chris Grooms; niece and nephew, Blaine and Brylee Grooms; grandmother, Shirley Black; five aunts; and one uncle.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 16, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Royce Boling officiating. Burial will follow at Clark’s Chapel Cemetery.
Brian Williams, Jr., Hayden Hartsfield, Cody Boren, Brad Hoyer, Evan Freeman, and Daniel Hensley will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, an account for donations in memory of Melana is at First National Bank.
