Michael Wayne Boone

Michael Wayne Boone, 62, was born on May 2, 1956, in Paragould, AR, and departed this life on July 18, 2018, at Arkansas Continued Care in Jonesboro, AR. He was a graduate of Paragould High School. Mike had many positions in his career, the majority of which were spent in the used car business. Mike was a Christian and when his health permitted, he attended Grace Baptist Church, where he was well loved by the congregation.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rollen and Gracie Newsom Boone; and brothers, Rodger and Keith Boone.

He is survived by his beloved son, Colton Boone; sister, Patricia Spillman; nephew, Darrin (Terrie) Spillman; great nieces, Priscilla (Jason) Dollars and Chloe Spillman; and great-great niece, Aria Dollars.

Mike is also survived by his wife, Angela Boone; stepchildren, Jared (Jamie) Mitchell, Wesley (Hannah) Mitchell, and Leah Mitchell; step-grandchildren, Alexis and Bryson Potter, Landry and Lyla Mitchell.

In addition, he precedes many friends that he held dearly.

The family will receive friends from noon until service time at Phillips Funeral Home on Saturday, July 21. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. with Gerald James officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Darrin Spillman, Jared Mitchell, Wesley Mitchell, Archie Johnson, Mooney Starr, Doug Wigginton, John Spencer, and Tommy Spencer. Honorary pallbearers include James Stevens, Jack Fletcher, Herb Starr, and Brian Stevens.

Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church Building Fund at 2503 W. Kingshighway, Box 2-6012 in Paragould, AR, or Paragould Animal Rescue.
