Mickey Lloyd Hampton, 61, of Marmaduke, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020. He was born September 14, 1958, in Marmaduke, to Floyd and Rozetta Hampton. Mickey was a 1977 graduate of Marmaduke High School. He worked for 29 years at Emerson Electric. Mickey loved being around people and he was quite the jokester. He loved buying and selling anything he could make a dollar on. Mickey enjoyed riding in the country on his golf cart. He loved his family dearly and treasured his grandchildren.
Mickey was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dub Hampton and Kenneth Hampton; father in law and mother in law, Junior and Vearl Hendrix.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Belinda Hampton; daughters, Micka Hatley (James), and Kalinda Hampton; brothers, Roy Hampton, Charles Hampton, Rickey Hampton, and Michael Hampton; sisters, Linda Russom, Shirley Mansfield, Sandra Worley, and Sharon Green; grandchildren, Zachary and Rya Hatley.
The family will receive friends 6 – 8pm Saturday, January 18, at the First Baptist Church in Marmaduke. The funeral service will be Sunday, January 19, at 2pm at the church with Kim Bridges and Rodney Hampton officiating. Burial will follow at Harvey’s Chapel Cemetery.
Rodney Hampton, Logan Buck, Brad Green, Dustin Estes, Marcus Kellerand Rickey Hampton will serve as pallbearers. Mike Hedge, Bobby Lewallen, and Mike Rippy will serve as honorary pallbearers..
