Shirley Ann (Baker) Gibson

Shirley Ann “Baker” Gibson, 73, of Paragould, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019. She was born February 3, 1946, to Roy and Winnie Baker. Shirley was a member of Paragould Church of God and ministered under the F.G.C.I. in Arkansas and Missouri. She loved to sing gospel songs and even recorded some on CD. She ministered at the Agape House and the Greene County Jail. She was a faithful servant to her church and her community.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Shelby Gene Gibson; sister, Joyce Cannon; and brothers, Allan Baker and Glynn Baker.

Survivors include her daughters and sons in law, Tonya and Mitchell Ellis of Paragould, Deronda and Joey Johnson of Senath, MO, Pam and Darrell Vaughn of Senath, MO; son and daughter in law, Steven and Rachel Gibson of New York; brothers, Bob Baker, Benny Baker, Danny Baker; sisters, Lillian Wilder, Ileen Swift, Deborah Tune; grandchildren, Jessica Lindsey, Luke Ellis, Matthew Davidson, Magen Todd, Adam Gibson, Jacob Gibson, Kayla Gibson; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 20, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Gary Smith and Patrick Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at McGrew Cemetery outside of Senath, MO.
