Sreace Juanita (Smith) Rowe

Sreace Juanita Rowe, 93, of Paragould, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018. She was born in Greene County, September 8, 1924, to Kate Marie Smith.  Sreace Juanita grew up on farms in Greene County, near Schugtown.  She worked at a dry cleaners, then at local factories.  After marrying Emery Macon Rowe in 1951, she diligently partenered with her husband to operate their businesses: Rowe’s Jewelry Store and Rowe’s Tax Service  She was definitely a working mother – taking care of three daughters while taking care of their businesses and home. She loved to garden because it was just like life; you reap what you sow.  She firmly believed the flowers of tomorrow are in the seeds of today, both in gardening and in life.  Sreace Juanita made sure her life was a Christian example for all who knew her.  Sreace Juanita was a member of Bethel Church of Christ for over 40 years, until her health declined and she moved to Midland, Texas, to be with family.

Sreace Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Kate Marie Farmer, and her husband of 52 years, Emery Macon Rowe.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Akins of Lexington, Kentucky, Karen (Gail) Rowe, and Patty Rowe both of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Johnny Rowton of Midland, Texas, Jeremy Rowton and his wife, Meredith, of Midland, Texas; great-grandchildren, Jordan Mobley of Odessa, Texas, Krystin Hull of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Colton Shannon of Odessa, Texas, and Matthew Rowton of Midland, Texas; and one great-great-granddaughter, Cambria Mobley.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 2, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Lonnie Pyle and Art Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers include Kevin Rowe, Charles Rowe, Bart Rowe, Philip Rowe, Mark Rowe, and Tim Rowe.
