Stacy LeAnn McGhee, 43, of Cabot, formerly of Paragould, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, May 29, 2018. She was born February 25, 1975, in Hot Springs, to Dalton and Velma Shewbuirt. Before moving to Cabot, Stacy was active in the Paragould community. She was a special education teacher for the Paragould School District and an active member of Center Hill Church of Christ. Whether it was spending time with family, cheering on her beloved St. Louis Cardinals, or taking part in her children’s sporting and band events, Stacy genuinely loved life. After moving to Cabot, she began teaching a special education class at Cabot High School and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Stacy was a very dedicated teacher that went above and beyond for her students. Friends and loved ones everywhere will deeply miss Stacy. She was a true example of strength and Christian love. Stacy bravely fought a long battle with breast cancer, never wavering in her faith. Stacy had a bright, beautiful spirit that will live on in all the lives she so deeply touched.
Stacy was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Survivors include her husband of 3 years, Heath McGhee; parents, Dalton and Velma Shewbuirt; son, Kendrix Bryant; daughters, Korie Bryant and Jenna McGhee; and a brother, Steve Shewbuirt.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 1, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Phillips Funeral Home. The celebration of Stacy’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at Phillips Funeral Home with Art Smith and Gary Cremeens officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery.
