Tom Eubanks, 84, of Paragould, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018. He was born April 19, 1933, in Piggott, to Wilbur and Nola Eubanks. Tom drove a propane truck and then was an over the road truck driver until his retirement. In his past time, he enjoyed raising cattle. In his later years, he sold produce around town where he was known as “The Peach Man.” He loved visiting with his customers and was always full of stories.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; aunt and uncle, Dola and Clovis “Tobe” Crouch, whom Tom spent his adolescent years with; wife, Opal Eubanks; daughter, Renesa Sutter; and sister, Roma Lou Bullinger.
Survivors include his son, Keff Eubanks; daughter, Marina Presley; stepdaughters, Sue Clayton, Bren McConnaughhay, and Melissa Phillips; sister, Lavern Wheat; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Robert Newell and Kay Mikel.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, April 4, at 10 a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Heath Vines officiating. Burial will follow at Harvey’s Chapel.
Pallbearers include Keff Eubanks, Robert Newell, Alan Newell, Jim McConnaughhay, and Kale Phillips.
