Aaron Alton Powell, 76, of Paragould, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017, at his residence.  He was born September 18, 1940, in Cash, Arkansas, to the late Thomas and Louisa Powell.  Aaron enjoyed studying history, so much so that he became involved in Civil War reenactments.  He was a woodworker and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joyce Powell, of the home; sons and daughters in law, Randall and Anita Powell, of Corinth, Texas; Steven and April Powell, of Paragould; daughters and sons in law, Regina and Kevin Graf, of Chillicothe, Illinois; Dana and Jeff Ballard, of Searcy, Arkansas; and Karen Powell and her life partner, Stephen Cluckey, of Paragould; sister, Edna Champion, of Memphis, Tennessee; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  A private graveside service with Adam Breckenridge officiating will be held Monday at Old Bethel Cemetery.
