Alfred Terrell Whiteside, 78, of Paragould, AR passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. He was born June 3, 1932, in Paragould, AR to Alvin and Permelia Whiteside. He was a member of Beech Grove Methodist Church. He retired after forty years of truck driving for Emerson Electric and Wal-Mart. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother and sister, Clifford and Alveda; one brother, Hershel Whiteside; one sister, Nona Lovell and one son-in-law, Jim Luke.He is survived by his wife of fifty nine years, Reba Whiteside of the home; one son, Tim (Linda) Whiteside of Paragould; two daughters, Dianne (Dale) Klingensmith of FL., Barbara Luke of Paragould; two brothers, Jimmy Ray Whiteside and companion Ann Colby of North Dakota, Beryl (Donna) Whiteside of Rector; six grandchildren, Amber Andrews, Dee Dee Klingensmith, Michael Luke, Terry Kyle Whiteside and Brittany White; two great- grandchildren, Abbey Andrews and Mattie White along with a host of relatives and friends.Services will be 1:30 PM, Saturday, March 5 at Phillips Funeral Home with Dwayne Smith and Amber Andrews officiating.Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.Visitation will be Friday, from 6-9 PM in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Jerry Brown, Billy Foster, Mack Hester, Carl Fesler, Terry Kyle Whiteside and Gary Whiteside.Family request memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
