Alice Marie Knuckles, 80, of Paragould, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017.  She was born March 17, 1937, in Lafe, to Ira and Esther Newell.  Alice was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed singing and was a wonderful cook.  Alice was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Billy Keith Knuckles; brothers, James, Junior, and Robert Newell; sisters, Lillian Cole, Retha Willcockson, Wanda Cagle, Melvine Russom, Evalina Scarborough, and Beatrice McFall.

Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Cecil Knuckles; sons and daughters in law, Gale and Paula Knuckles, Dennis and Denise Knuckles, Charles and Sheila Knuckles, and Glen Knuckles; daughters and sons in law, Teresa and Johnny Houston, Louise and Allen Carey, and Sandy and Alan Glazier; 17 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 30, from 10:30 a.m. until service time at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery in Marmaduke.  A graveside service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ron Dane officiating.
