Alton Frank Barnett, 88, of Paragould, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025. He was born October 15, 1936, to Grady James Barnett and Leta Jones. Alton enjoyed spending time with his family and he worked until retiring after 29 years as a Court Reporter for the State of Arkansas. He loved the Lord and was a member of the House of Prayer. Alton enjoyed fishing and he was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Alton was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Pat Barnett; son, Grady Barnett (Cindy); grandchildren, Harley Barnett (Katie), Brady Barnett (Miranda); and great-grandchildren, Madison, Callie, Hattie Mae, Milo, and Oliver Barnett.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 21, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Friday, August 22, at 10:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with David King and Betty O'Banion officiating. Burial will be private.

Alton's final wish was for all of his family and friends to have a close and personal relationship with God and to meet him in Heaven.
