Barbara Franklin, 75, of Paragould passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017.  She was born February 5, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Virgil and Ola Bateman.  Barbara attended church at Trinity Full Gospel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Patricia Franklin; 6 brothers; and 4 sisters.

Survivors include Barbara's husband of 53 years, Leon Franklin; son and daughter in law, Robert and Angie Franklin; daughter, Sylvia Murray; brother, Ronald Bateman; sisters, Shirley Gilliam and Eithel Rippy; grandchildren, Mindy Murray, Justin Franklin, Caleb Franklin, and Ali Perrin; great grandchildren, Kaylyn Franklin and Blaykleigh Perrin.

The family will receive friends Monday, May 22, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Marlin Ray officiating.  Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery.

Chance Keating, Justin Franklin, Kord Brown, Ronnie Utley, Major Ray, and Roland Gilliam will serve as pallbearers.  Tonya Fletcher will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
