Betty Lou Newell, 81, of Marmaduke, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at NEA Hospital of Jonesboro. She was born January 22, 1941, to the late Thomas Cable and Mary Cable-Brewer. She was of Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles Robert Newell, Sr.; granddaughter, Brittany Jean Newell; and great-grandson, Isiah Lightheart.
Survivors include her sister, Nancy Galbraith of Missouri; sons, Wayne Newell (Runita), Allen Newell (Melissa), Robert "Bub" Newell all of Marmaduke; daughter, Roberta Panhorst (Chuck) of Lafe; twenty-six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren and three on the way.
A graveside service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will be held on Friday, August 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Eddie Gene Wright officiating.
