Betty Katherine (Jackson) Yearry, age 85, of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away at home January 8, 2025. She was born September 25, 1939 in Paragould and was a member of Center Hill Church of Christ. Betty worked at Emerson, and together with her husband, Leo, they were successful business owners of D & L Enterprises for 22 years. She enjoyed reading, traveling, sewing, history and genealogical research, perusing for new recipes and cooking for family. She was very hospitable and a wonderful hostess to many guests in their home over the years. She was a dedicated caregiver to Leo during his 25+ years of Parkinson's disease. Organized and always prepared, she was dubbed by her family as the best "Boy Scout" they knew.

Survivors include one son, Dempsey (Melinda) Yearry of Kansas City, Missouri, 2 daughters, Jeanina Smith and Judith (Bill) Tripp, 1 sister, Carolyn (Larrell) Austin, of Paragould, sisters-in-law, Wanda Jackson and Shirley Padilla and one brother-in-law, Allan (Judy) Yearry. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Emily Chaffin, Allie Smith, Collin Yearry, Katie Vaught, Jenna Williams, Camille Jolibois, Claire Smith and Daniel Tripp; and 8 great-grandchildren: Olivia, Brody, Maddox, Cadence, Jude, Owen, Dean and Autumn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leo Yearry, her parents, Ralph and Edith (Williams) Jackson, one brother, Ray Allen Jackson, one sister, Shirley Redwine, and one son-in-law, Emmett Floyd Smith III.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 14th, 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. also at Phillips Funeral Home with Michael Meredith officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Collin Yearry, Daniel Tripp, Michael Chaffin, Greg Vaught, Luke Smith, Creagan Williams, Jacob Jolibois and Chris Simpson.
