Beverly Jean Smith, 92, of Paragould, went to her heavenly home on Friday, February 24, 2023.  She was born April 9, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Paul and Vina Belle Lemmons.  As a founding family of Center Hill Church of Christ, Jean took great pride in her church.  Jean was a steadfast, faithful member.  She enjoyed quilting with her friends and was a talented seamstress.  Many will remember all the custom cakes Jean made for their special day.  Jean loved her family greatly and doted over her grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Milton Smith; children, Kenneth Dale Smith, Debbie Thompson, and Paul Smith; and a sister, Eva Kay Woods.

Survivors include her daughters, Rebecca Capps  (Ervin), Pamela Fouts (Todd), Robin Johnson (Cary); sister, Joetta Shaw; grandchildren, Jeremy Williams (Brianna), Blake Williams (Bobbie Jo), Justin Smith (Maxine), Audra Brown (Jerrod), Matthew Fouts (Jessica), Zachary Johnson, Whitney Capps, and Grace Kegley (Alexander); great-grandchildren, Haley, Henry, Avery, Thea, Bailee, Brody, Lola, Vada, Lawson, Catherine, Maelynn, and Samuel; many friends and beloved church family at Center Hill Church of Christ.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 28, at Phillips Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until service time.  The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Michael Meredith officiating.  Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.

Jeremy Williams, Blake Williams, Justin Smith, Zachary Johnson, Matt Fouts, and Jerrod Brown will serve as pallbearers.
