Beverly Jean Overman Reece, 84, died peacefully on April 24, 2025, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

She was born July 15, 1940, in Caraway, Arkansas. Her greatest joy in life was helping others in times of need.  She was a determined advocate for handicapped individuals.

Beverly loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren.  She loved going to garage sales, flea markets, and antique stores.  She loved watching old movies, crime shows, game shows, and Hallmark movies.  She loved listening to her country music albums.  Her favorite ones were George Jones, Willie Nelson, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, among others.  She loved visiting her brothers and sisters no matter how far she had to travel to do so. She would never start her day before a cup of coffee and a muffin.  She always said, "No talkie before coffee."

Beverly is survived by her son, Rick (Alice) Mellow; daughter, Michelle Sanders; grandchildren: Holly (James) McLeod, Danny (Kass) Mellow, Kristie Brickey, Christopher Mayhew, Austin (Whitney) Estes, Wesley (Ashley) Minnie, Tim Minnie, Nikki (Gary) Chitwood, Sarah (Eric) Ward; great-grandchildren: Lathan (Sara) McLeod, Mary-Catherine (MC) McLeod, Dexter and Emma Mellow, Sydnee, Maycee, and Jake Brickey, Payton Coffman, McKinzey Minnie, Wyatt, Waylon and Aleigha Ward, Shyla, Joseph and Chasse Dancause.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, James Leonard and Emma Overman; brothers, James Overman and J.L. Overman; sisters, Emma Lee Grogan, Ruth McHalffey, Eunice Overman, Shirley Brandon, Stella Pearl Taylor and Mary Vandalla (Cricket) McDonald; and a daughter, Cherie Denise Mellow-Brooks.

She will have a private service to be held Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home in Paragould.
