Beverly Jane Sonney, 69, of Paragould passed away September 19, 2016. She was born October 30, 1946, in Rector to Hershel and Emma Elizabeth Wilson. Beverly was a kind, loving, generous person who has been a regular visitor of the nursing homes, sent card to everyone for all occasions, excellent cook, and a faithful member of Center Hill Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Randal Lee Wilson; a sister, Peggy Sue Wilson; an infant child; son-in-law, Scott McQueen.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin Sonney; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kristi and Jason Burritt, Sonya and Lance Scott, and Lori Beth McQueen; one sister, Phyllis Sonney; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m.to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Gary Cremeens and Michael Meredith officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector, AR.

John Gatling, Dan Stokes, Ed Tolleson, Keith White, Terry Sanders and Ed Jernigan will serve as pallbearers.  Wes Hathcoat, Jr. Baldwin, and all the clients and staff at Abilities Unlimited will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Lasting memorials may be made to Area One Special Olympics or Children's Homes, Inc. of Paragould.
