IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Billie Wilma
Sabo
December 20, 1946 – July 17, 2023
Billie Wilma Sabo, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2023, in Paragould, Arkansas. Born on December 20, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri, Billie's life was marked by service, hard work, and a deep love for her family and community.
Daughter of the late Eddie and Ruth Inskeep, Billie was raised alongside her brothers, Eddie Inskeep and Benjamin Hunt, and her late sister, Judy Wilson. Her brothers, Eddie and Benjamin, survive her and carry on her memory with fondness.
Billie's life was further enriched by her own family. She was a devoted mother to her children, the late Dale McCrady and Donna Kay McCrady, and her surviving daughter, Angela Ellis. Her grandson, Little Ben Rice, held a special place in her heart.
Married to the late Lavon McCrady, she was a supportive wife and partner. Together, they faced life's ups and downs, and their bond remained unshakeable until Lavoon's passing.
Billie's work ethic was unparalleled. She served in the U.S. Air Force for nearly 19 years, demonstrating her commitment to her country and her dedication to the values of service and sacrifice. Her time in the military shaped her character and instilled in her a deep sense of purpose and responsibility. Her dedication to her work was only matched by her commitment to her family and friends.
Outside of her work, Billie was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her generosity and kindness touched many lives, and she was known in her community for her willingness to go above and beyond to help others. She was a beacon of strength and compassion, and her legacy of service will continue to inspire those who knew her.
In her downtime, Billie enjoyed crafting. Her creativity shone through in her projects, which she often gifted to loved ones. Crafting was more than a hobby for Billie; it was a way for her to express her love and to create tangible memories for her family and friends. Her handmade gifts will serve as cherished keepsakes for those who were lucky enough to receive them.
Billie's love for her dog, Titus, was well-known. She found great joy in her furry companion, and their bond was a testament to her nurturing spirit. Titus was more than a pet; he was a member of the family and a source of comfort and companionship for Billie.
