Bill J. Brewington, 75, of Paragould, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the Arkansas Continued Care Hospital in Jonesboro.  He was born September 23, 1943, in Paragould, to John and Anna Brewington.  Bill was a 1962 graduate of Oak Grove High School.  He retired from Emerson after 35 years of service.  Bill enjoyed history, especially Civil War and the battlefields.  He was a collector of arrowheads and looked forward to the treasures he would find while metal detecting.  Bill was a western movie buff, an avid hunter, and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly Brewington; daughters, Julie Brewington McCord and Lori Kay Brewington; and a brother, Donnie Brewington.

Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Brewington; brother, Jim Brewington; three grandchildren, Hunter McCord, Makayla Brewington, and Savannah Sides; and several nieces and nephew.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 3, at Phillips Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 4, at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery.
