Billy Gene Gurien, 68, of Paragould passed away January 29, 2011 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. He was born December 20, 1942 in Keiser, Arkansas to Frank and Florence Gurien. Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Helen Johnston. He is survived by a son, Matthew (Holly) Gurien of Paragould; one daughter Lee (Joe) Roberts of Palestine, Ark.; four grandchildren, Kyler and Alyssa Gurien, Angela King and John Tyler Poe;three sisters, Betty Kilbreth, Linda Phillips and Donna McCoy; his fiancée, Carolyn Smith. There will be a memorial service 2 PM, Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Phillips Funeral Home with Dennis Strope officiating.
