Billy Kenneth Whiteside went to his Heavenly home on August 27, 2025. There, he was joyfully reunited with his two daughters, Kristi Whiteside Thornton, Michelle Whiteside Burnett, and his son-in-law, Neal Ladymon.
Kenneth was born on a beautiful spring morning, April 1, 1942, in Holcomb, Missouri, to Ella Meriwether Whiteside and Bryon Whiteside. On July 12, 1963, he married the love of his life, Dorothy "Dottie" Waters, and together they built a life centered around faith, family, and community.
He was a devoted father to three daughters, with Dana Whiteside Ladymon surviving him. His favorite title, however, was Grandad. He leaves behind three beloved grandchildren: Molly Ladymon Dillard of Paragould, AR, and Abbey Burnett and Alex Burnett of Little Rock, AR. He also adored his great-granddaughter, Journee Dillard, of Paragould, AR, who brought him endless joy.
Kenneth served in the Missouri National Guard and the United States Army. He spent most of his life in Campbell, Missouri, where he deeply impacted his community. He served on the Campbell-R2 School Board, Campbell City Council, and volunteer fire department, and he coached many youth baseball and softball teams. As a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Campbell, he was especially active in the youth department and never turned away someone in need.
He worked for Entergy Arkansas for 42 years before retiring in 2002. A lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, Kenneth also loved gardening, fishing, and hunting, spending time outdoors brought him great peace and happiness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, son-in-law, and his three sisters: Verna Lee Whiteside, Genora Whiteside Faughn, and Kathy Whiteside Freeman.
