Billy Joe Newman, 78, of Paragould went to his Heavenly home Sunday, December 06, 2015.  He was born January 12, 1937 in Senath, MO to George and Sarah Newman.  Billy was an Assembly of God Church minister for 50 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Jeanette, of 59 years; son, Terry Newman; granddaughter, Misti Newman; great grandson, Jeremiah Newman; brothers, George D., Kenneth, and Jimmy Newman; and sister, Brenda McEntyre.

Survivors include his sons and daughters in law, Tommy and Janet Newman, Teddy and Beatrice Newman, Tony and Carol Newman; daughter and son in law, Mary and Carl Dunigan; daughter in law, Anita Newman; brothers, Donnie and Ricky Newman; sisters, Shirley Holder, Gwen Ray, and Donna Mullins; brothers, Donnie and Ricky Newman; 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 10, 2015, in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Tom and Teddy Newman officiating.  Burial will follow at Warren Chapel Cemetery.

Billy's grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
