Bobby Lee Bateman, 78, of Paragould passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. He was born September 6, 1936 at Paragould to Ora and Hazel Bateman. Bobby was the owner and operator of Bateman Auto Sales for over 40 years. He was an avid deer hunter.Preceding him death were his parents; and three brothers, J.D., Gerald, and Joe Lloyd.He is survived by a very special loving friend, Lowanda Coleman of Paragould; two sons and daughters in law, Chris and Jennifer Bateman, and Bob and Tara Bateman, all of Paragould; three daughters, Kim Palmer, Jennifer Block and Jahmi Stevens and her husband, Brian, all of Paragould; brother, Russell Bateman; two sisters, Emma Jane Dobyns and Barbara Smith; and fourteen grandchildren.The family will receive friends Sunday, March 22, 2015, from 1:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Dennis Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Brown's Chapel Cemetery.The daughters, daughters in law and granddaughters will be serving as pallbearers.
