Bobby "Bob" Gene Young, 72, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024, at Advanced Care Hospital, in Searcy Arkansas. Bob was born on February 27, 1952, in Rector, to Mr and Mrs. Sterling Young. Bob was a resident of Paragould Arkansas and a 1970 graduate of Paragould High School. Bob married the love of his life Pam (Shideler) Young on March 23, 1974 in Paragould, Arkansas.  He was a maintenance man and truck driver. Bob was a wonderful husband, great father, brother, and Pop. Bob loved watching westerns and the St. Louis Cardinals. Bob was a very gentle and loving person. He wouldn't talk your ear off, but he was a wonderful listener.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Young.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Pam Young of the home, children Chris (Heather) Young, Lisa (Tim) Cross, Scott (Erin) Young all of Paragould; sisters, Wanda George of Springdale, Linda (Richard) Kahl of Paragould, Debbie Bayird of Jonesboro; brother, Joe (Mary) Young of Paragould; grandchildren, Max Young, Mia Young, Dominic Reagan, LB (Faith) Cross, Kimberly (Will) Mixon; great- grandchildren, Lily and Leo Mixon.

A celebration of life will be held Monday, March 18, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until noon at Phillips Funeral Home.
