Obituary

After a prolonged illness, Brian "Bud" Ray passed away at his home in Paragould, Arkansas, on September 5, 2022.  He was born September 28, 1976, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

He was survived by his loving and devoted mate, Amy Goodrum.  He was a very devoted father to his son, Cody Jay Ray.  He will be sorely missed by his mother, Donna A. Erwin; his step dad, Everett J Erwin; his step-father, Charles "Chuck" Hawkins; his step sister, Sidni J Erwin;  step brothers, Bradley and Terry Veal; step sisters, Cheryl (Brian) Smith and Robin Hawkins; and Anthony Robert Ray.

He was an avid and skilled PC games player and well known in the PC gaming community.  He frequently built computers from scratch.  Prior to his illness, he worked in the glass industry and at various other jobs.  He loved to read, was an excellent cook and wood worker.  He was known by all to be a very kind, loving person.  He left behind many extended family members; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews.  His extended family is too numerous to name in this obituary.  All of them will miss him.

May he rest in peace.  The good Lord will surely keep him in His memory and resurrect him at the appointed time.  We all love you, Bud.

A graveside service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will be at noon Saturday, September 17, at Linwood Cemetery.
