Calvin Junior Douglas, 81, of Paragould passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017. He was born August 23, 1936, to Louis and Roxie Douglas. In his spare time, Calvin loved to paint cars. He loved to hunt & fish and was a member of the Peckerwood Hunting Club. After 27 years, he retired from working with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department. He was a member of the Center Hill Church of Christ for 57 years. Calvin died surrounded by his loving family at 6:20 p.m.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steve Douglas; and 3 brothers, Lloyd, Chester, and Sylvester.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joann Douglas; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Dean Livingston of Paragould, Melanie and Jeff Estes of Paragould, Leann Pillow of Paragould; brother, Bob Douglas; grandchildren, Caleb, Tyler, and Wes Livingston, Jennifer Pillow, Deidra Smith, Addie and Sauyer Estes, Cody and Cassidy Douglas; and great-grandchildren, Bryson Pillow, Kaden and Casen Douglas.

The family will receive friends for a graveside service Friday, October 13, 2017, at Union Grove Cemetery at 11 a.m. with Michael Meredith officiating.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons.

The family asks that lasting memorials be sent to Crowley's Ridge Academy.
