Carl Jones, Sr., 79, passed away December 22, 2016, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.  He was born February 9, 1937, in Manila, AR, to Hubert and Sarah Jones.  He loved playing guitar in his band and he was very active in the Senior Bee's.  Carl was a member of Newton Street Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Beuna Jones; his parents; one brother; two sisters; one great grandchild, Landon; and one daughter, Debbie Cavenar.

Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Carl Jr. and Kathy Jones; two brothers, Jimmy Jones and Dale and his wife, Cathy Jones; two sisters and brothers in law, Lillian and Doile Jackson and Linda and Norm Pelkey; four grandchildren, Lisa Jones, Lori Ethridge and her husband, Justin, Joey Jones, and Matthew Cavenar; and four great grandchildren, Aubrey, Ethan, Kaleb and Theo.

The family will receive friends 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Phillips Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2016, in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Rick Ethridge officiating.  Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Jones, Justin Ethridge, Doile Jackson, Dewayne Gillean, Johnathan Ware and Carl Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Matthew Cavenar, Don Trout and Square Morgan.
