Carmillie Josephine Ward,81, of Paragould, passed away September 21, 2016, at Montgomery County Nursing Home in Mt. Ida, AR. She was born June 1, 1935, in Monette, to John and Matrey Molly Chipman. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hot Springs and the Daisies Ladies Group.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Robert Ward, Sr.; one son, Ricky Lynn Ward; five brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by two sons Robert (Medin) Ward and Roger (Cheryl) Ward all of Hot Springs; two daughters, Kathy (Bill) Wilcox of Paragould and Sharon(Eugene) Hughes of Hot Springs; two brothers, Lloyd and Searcy Chipman; two sisters, Wilma Grooms and Faye Looney; eight grandchildren, Crystal Gale, Ricky, Marla, Christi, Amanda, James, Lee Ann and Jessica; five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Friday, September 23,2016, at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, September 24, 2016, in the Center Hill Chapel at Phillips Funeral Home with Dennis Strope officiating. Pallbearers are Ricky, James, Cai, Mark, Josh and Scotty. Burial will be at Center Hill Cemetery.
