Carol Wayne Darter, 75, of Paragould, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022. He was born October 4, 1946, to Harvey and Iva Darter. Carol worked until retiring at Emerson and was a sheetrock finisher after. He enjoyed participating in and watching the demolition derby, loved getting outside, and bushhogging.

Carol was preceded in death by his parents; wife Gil Darter; son, Craig Darter; siblings, Arlon, J. C., Thearon, Jearl, Loretta, Oca, and Marjorie.

Survivors include his daughter, Kellie Cole (Rick); sister, Billie Thompson; grandchildren, Tasha Cole, Taneka Cole; and great-grandchildren, Ty Cole, Luca Cole, Allysia Cole, Trae Cole, and Della Cole.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 4, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, October 5, at 10:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Dennis Strope officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.

Ray Thompson, Dennis Thompson, Blake Prejean, Austin Prejean, Steve Myatt, Patrick Cole will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Buddy Moore, Ty Cole, and Joey Thompson.

Lasting memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
