Carolyn Nailling passed away on March 11, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on December 2, 1932, Carolyn dedicated her life to her family and home, yet she also played a pivotal role during the harvesting season, lending a helping hand by driving the grain truck.
Throughout her life, Carolyn was known for her unwavering devotion to her loved ones and her many talents. She was an active member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church. Carolyn had a great passion for gardening, canning, and quilting, hobbies that brought her joy and allowed her to share her love with others. She enjoyed watching basketball and baseball, often cheering for her favorite teams with enthusiasm.
She is survived by her loving children: sons, Terry Nailling (Trish), Mark Nailling (Mary), Billy Nailling (Marla), and Jerry Don Nailling (Lesley); and daughters, Jimmie Nell Jernigan (Danny), Trish Filas (Rick), and Jane Dowler (Doug). Carolyn also leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Nicole Barney (Jason), Courtney Glaus (Trey), Brittany Nailling, Audra Nailling (Jacob Whittle), Tyler Nailling, Jordan Nailling, Sarah Wilson (Kyle), Blair Clark (Trent), Amber Nailling, Tamra Nailling, Shannon Jernigan (Alisha), Brandon Jernigan (Mandi), Heather Lanier, Josh Kennemore, Derek Linehan (Rebecca), Chris Patterson (Kristen), Jennifer Shelton, and Whitney Dowler, as well as 30 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, I.J. and Novella Myers; her loving husband, James Nailling, her brother, Blue Myers; and great-grandchildren, Kadin and Kaydence Walters.
Visitation will be held at Phillips Funeral Home in Paragould, Arkansas, on March 14, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM with David White officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Shannon Jernigan, Brandon Jernigan, Chris Patterson, Tyler Nailling, Conner Walters, and Rex Jernigan will serve as pallbearers.
