Charles Glen Oost, 89, of Lafe, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017. He was born November 23, 1928, to Boswell Glen and Mary J. Oost. Charles was a long-time resident of Jefferson Parrish, New Orleans, LA, until moving to Paragould in 2010. He was retired from AT&T and New Orleans pump station. Charles served time in the United States Marine Corps from 1946 to 1948.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ann Bateman.

Survivors include his brothers, Billy Joe Oost and Johnny A. Oost; and sister, Pat Wilson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 22, 2017, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. On Saturday, December 23, at 1 p.m. there will be a funeral service in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Keeling officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery with military honors.
