Charles "Chub" Sharpe, 80, of Paragould, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at his residence.  He was born June 14, 1935, in Leachville, Arkansas, to the late William Boyd and Lily Sharpe.  Mr. Sharpe loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the Greene County Wildlife Club.  After 37 years of service, Chub retired from Emerson Electric.  He was a member of New Covenant Worship Center.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Andy Sharpe; three brothers, William, Ralph and Clarence Sharpe; one sister, Paralee Copeland; and one granddaughter, Bridgett Jones.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Catherine Sharpe, of the home; son and daughter in law, Jasper and Carol Sharpe; daughters and sons in law, Jackie and Rodney Lancaster, Kathy Sharpe and Dickie Cross and Angela and Larry Bulla; sisters and brothers in law, Beulah and James Cure, JoAnn and James Sims and Jean Bishop; 15 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 10, 2016, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Saturday, June 11, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Larry Bulla and Dennis Bradley officiating.  Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery.
