Christene "Garner" Hyde, 94, of Paragould passed away June 14, 2014 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. She was born in Paragould on October 25, 1919 to the late William and Clara Garner. Christene was one of the founding members of Newton Street Church of Christ.Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Harvey Henderson Hyde; daughter, Gewanda C. Boggs; son-in-law, Roy "Pete" Boggs; great grandson, Dillon M. Brown; four brothers; and five sisters.Survivors include her daughter, Patty Hyde; grandchildren, Blake and Tina Boggs, and April Boggs Brown; and three great grandchildren, Emileigh Brown, Miranda and Jessica Boggs.The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 17, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Denny Stormes officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Paul Pfeffer, Don Kingston, Jesse Doughty, Jack Pearson, and Larry Kitchens will serve as pallbearers.
