Clifton Shane Smith, 63, of Walnut Ridge, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022. He was born April 1, 1959, to Jim and Zoetta Smith. Shane loved frogs and was a jokester that kept everyone laughing. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed riding motorcycles. Shane was an amazing father and Papa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bobby Smith and twin, Wayne Smith; grandparents, Robert and Clara Watkins, Orval and Nellie Mae Smith; and dog, J. J. Smith.
Survivors include his sons, Aaron Smith (Jessica Briney), Calvin Wininger; sisters, Melissa Walker (Robbie), LeAnn Bryson (Kelly), Linda Blazer (Tommy); aunt, Frankie Harris; grandchildren, Karsonn, Kolbee, and Kayzlee Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 5, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The funeral service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will begin at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Scott Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
