Connie Ray "C. R." Baine, 72, of Paragould, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020. He was born July 12, 1948, to Joel and Mamie Baine. C. R. worked until retiring from the Arkansas Highway Department. In his younger days, he played softball and was an avid Cardinals baseball fan.  He enjoyed watching his kids and grandchildren play ball. C. R. enjoyed watching westerns and loved visiting with his family and friends.
C. R.  was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley Patricia Ann Baine; siblings, Alva Doris Short, Lorene Earnestine Spillman, Ester Ruth Baine, Joel Alva Baine, Robert Lee Baine, Mary Addalean Whitney, Martha Jean Adams, Eva Bertina Stallings, Tommy Darrell Baine, and Betty Lou Baine.
Survivors include his sons and daughters in law, Patrick and Juli Baine, Brad and Meredith Baine; and grandchildren, Tyler Ogles, Johnna Rae Baine, Luke Baine, and Isaac Baine.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 29, from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Clark officiating.
